For measurement of rotary or static torque in applications where mounting space for transducers and sensors is at a premium, the miniature torque sensor range from Applied Measurements is ideal.
For static and quasi-static (less than 1 revolution) torque measurement applications, the YDNS miniature torque sensor is ideal with its compact body and parallel shaft mechanical connections. It is available in capacities from 0 – 0.2Nm up to 0 – 1000Nm making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
For rotating applications, the YDSA miniature torque sensor utilises a slip-ring to transfer excitation and signal to and from the strain gauge bridge which is bonded to the parallel shaft. It is rated for operation at speeds up to 8000rpm depending on the selected capacity. Capacities available range from 0 – 0.2Nm up to 0 – 50Nm.
Both torque transducers provide an electrical output of 1.3mV/V at full scale and are available on a lead-time of 3-4 weeks.
