Basic bare modems to development kits are now available which utilize the OpenAT command set. The TDP4 from Omni Instruments is a low cost, GSM based monitoring system using the reliable SMS messaging service to send alerts and updates to your cell phone, our web based service or your own server. The unit features four channels for temperature, digital state or pulse inputs. A built in rechargeable lithium battery can last for up to one year when there is no power and also messaging you when there is a power loss or its loosing charge.
The TDP4 is available as a basic OEM circuit board or a IP68 waterproof enclosure for indoor and outdoor applications.
Running costs are very low, starting at just $10 per month for 400 messages. Each message can store up to 33 readings and send them at a present interval or when an alarm situation occurs.
