The news TMS3000 advanced airflow measurement sensor system from Schiltknecht is designed for ventilation and control in road tunnels.  The ventilation of road tunnels ensures that toxic gases (above all carbon monoxide) and dirt particles are removed from the tunnels.  The airflow measurement system features a robust, no moving parts, sensor design which offers near maintenance free operation.  The advanced field transmitter allows you to design an optimal fit for your tunnel geometry and is not effected by traffic unlike similar ultrasonic systems.

All the electronic components are located away from the high traffic driving area which allows easy servicing and continuous measurements even in extreme conditions such as fire, up to 1200°C!  By using differential pressure measurement this has many advantages including high accuracy and high resolution, <0.1 m/s, flow measurements.
